Beast Hunter can be played without an account. If you make one, it keeps your progress and purchases safe. This page explains what the game saves and why.
Saved on your phone
Your progress is saved on your phone, so the game works without internet. When you're online, it is also sent to the game server so it isn't lost.
Sent to the game server
- A random player ID that the game makes up.
- The hunter name you type on the home screen. Please don't use your real full name.
- Your game progress: coins, skins, abilities, upgrades, arenas, best wave, games played, monsters defeated, time played, revives, ads watched and purchases.
- Whether you play on iPhone or in a browser.
If you make an account
- Username and password: the username you choose and your password. The server only stores a scrambled (hashed) version of the password, never the password itself.
- Sign in with Apple: Apple tells the game server a private account number for you. The game does not ask Apple for your name or email.
- Continue with Google: the game asks Google only for basic sign-in. Google's sign-in screen may share your name, email address and profile picture with the app. The game only keeps Google's private account number for you, so it can recognize you next time. It does not save your name, email address or picture. It does not read your contacts, files or anything else in your Google account, and it never posts anything.
- Accounts get a hunter name like "Hunter4821" until you change it.
- You can sign out or delete your account at any time in the game (Sign in → Delete my account). Deleting removes your account and its saved progress from the server.
Purchases
Payments are handled by Apple. The game never sees your card or payment details. After a purchase, Apple gives the game a signed record of it (what was bought, when, and Apple's transaction number). The game server checks Apple's signature and keeps that record with your account, so your purchases stay with it.
Ads
If you choose to watch an ad (for example, to revive), the ad is shown by Google AdMob. Google may collect information such as your device type and IP address to show and measure ads. The first time you open the app, your iPhone asks whether ads may use tracking. Your answer doesn't change anything in the game, and you can change it any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. In some countries (for example in Europe) Google also asks for your consent first; you can change that answer in the game's Settings → Ad privacy choices. You can read Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
What the game does not collect
Your email, real name, contacts, location, photos, camera or microphone.
How it's used
To run the game (accounts, cloud saves, purchases, gifts and game settings) and to see how the game is going. It is never sold, and it is only shared with Apple and Google as described above.
Kids
The game doesn't ask anyone for their real name, email address or location. Players should pick a made-up hunter name.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
